Pizzas (and cakes) were by far the
most popular vegan foods in the former Herwins Vegan Cafe in Bangkok. Turns out they are
also popular here in Udon Thani.
Several Jay restaurants in Udon Thani
are now selling my vegan pizzas, or should i say “pizettas”?
The base is a
mix of whole wheat flour and regular bread flour and the first pizza is an “Italian
Pizza” with home made vegan tofu cheese as a topping, and home made pesto
sauce.
Since the Jay people don’t eat garlic, an essential ingredient for my
original Ricotta Tofu Cheese, i had to come up with a new ingredient. After
some testing “grinded roasted peanuts” was chosen to be the new essential
ingredient for the new Tofu Cheese Jay version. It gives the new Tofu Cheese a
nutty and tasty flavor.
