Prajak Park Udon Thani

Udon Thani is a dull and boring provincial city in Thailand far, far away from Bangkok. I hope i don't get arrested for that comment. As in, seriously.

A few months though I discovered a park in the city which is actually heaps of cool fun.

I did visit here before a few years ago and at that time it was just as boring as the rest of Udon Thani, so I never bothered to visit again, especially because it is at the other side of the city.

Recently though this park has been renovated and they did a wonderful job, that proves that authorities, in this case the city, can indeed promote healthy lifestyle by facilitating good resources. Or something like that.

There are now two lanes around the park, one lane is for people driving a bicycle, and the other lane is for joggers. And it works like clockwork. After 5 PM people come including many  high school students and rent a bicycle and for fun drive around the park. Joggers by the dozen show up and jog around the park. Other people do yoga or exercises.

Other popular things to do is feeding the fish, there are several vendors selling bread and fish food. Around the aprk are also some nearby vegan Jay restaurants.

If you ever visit Isan in Thailand, possibly because you are going to Laos, you might want to choose Udon Thani for a two day stop. Make sure you stay near the park because the actual city center with its CENTRAL department store is rather boring except for the night market and UD TOWN near the train station. The few nearby girly bars are populated with the left overs of Udon's bar girls; the young and pretty ones are in Bangkok and Phuket.

  1. Enthusiastic beginning is very common in every sector when anyone enters into a new world. But it is very hard to keep such enthusiasm for a long time after huddles come out from invited sources. Read this blog and know more about this topic.เห็ด ถั่ง เช่า สี ทอง
